What is a central LPG gas system?
Instead of each apartment or kitchen using its own cylinders, gas is stored in one certified tank and piped to every unit through risers and meters. Residents simply turn on the stove.
Do residents still need cylinders?
No. Every connected unit is supplied from the building tank. There are no cylinders to order, carry or store.
How are residents billed?
Each unit has its own meter. We read every meter monthly and bill each resident for the gas they used, in cubic metres.
Can an existing building be converted?
In most cases, yes. A site survey checks space for the tank and routes for the pipework, then the design goes for DCD approval before work begins.
Who looks after the system after handover?
GasNet does, under an annual maintenance contract covering leak checks, servicing, meter checks, refilling and emergency call-outs.
Is GasNet approved by Dubai Civil Defence?
Yes. GasNet is a Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) approved LPG contractor.
What happens in a gas emergency?
Every floor has its own isolation valve, so one branch can be shut off without affecting the rest of the building, and residents can reach our emergency line.
